As CID nab Kamalkant for interrogation, he tells them he could not have murdered Anand as he was impressed with him and wanted Anand to come work for him. Even Anand's wife vouches for his honesty and says that it was Kavi who in fact did kill Anand. On further investigation, the doctor treating Kavi lets them know that Kavi should have regained his eyesight after 8 hours accident and he could not have stayed blind for so many days.
